New House in UK
Moving house for adults can be stressful, but what about if you have kids? It can be very worrying for kids and they will feel a lot on uncertainty. Once you have decided to move, how do you tell the kids, and when? Child Psychologists believe that involving young children too soon is unnecessary and it can be a mistake dragging them round loads of houses. They will probably really like one that you don't. Wait until you have chosen your new home. Make it really positive, such as ‘how lackey are we being able to move into this beautiful new home'. Older children will need to feel more involved, after all they are probably be likely to be losing their best friends and moving schools. This can be very upsetting and they will need time to get used to the idea. Keeping it from teenagers until the last minute will make them feel untrusted or even betrayed. If your kids are of school age try and move in the summer holidays so there is less disruption.
